You get the whole thing for fifteen days (Publisher Studio, sharing, all of it) without paying and without making an account. There is no card to enter and nothing to cancel.
When the fifteen days end, nothing switches off. The install moves to the Personal plan and stays there permanently. Your files are untouched, your spaces still open, and everything on the free side of this page keeps working. You are not on a countdown to a paywall.
At that point we ask for a first name and an email address. We treat our users as adults, and ask that in exchange for free software, you allow us the opportunity to make the case for the paid version once or twice a year. That is all it is for.
You can skip it and it may ask again later. It doesn't create an account, it doesn't gate the app, and it does not block a single Personal-plan feature whether you answer it or not.
One thing worth knowing if you publish during the fifteen days: a link you created keeps working for its full 180 days afterwards. You lose the ability to push a new version to it, and you keep the ability to revoke it.
Everything on the paid side of that split is presentation, publication or distribution. Nothing on it makes you better at thinking, and nothing on the free side is a demonstration version of something better.
Twenty nodes in a space is about twenty pages or sections, which in practice is a finished proposal, a knowledge pack or a reference document rather than a fragment of one. If you need more room, you make another space and bridge to it. That costs nothing, and it is how the free plan is meant to be used.
So most people never run out of capacity. What they eventually want is to send the thing to someone, and that is the part we charge for.
